Environmental Noise Course
NVMS is pleased to advise we will be running a public 2-day environmental noise course on Tues 11th - Weds 12th May 2010.
This course is open to all industry environmental officers, technicians, advisers, superintendents, etc, and covers a range of relevant topics as shown below.
The venue is our training centre in West Leederville, and places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
For more information please contact David Warrington
NVMS also offers customised Environmental Noise training for specific clients upon request.
Usually a site-based two-day course is provided to a particular company or small groups of similar companies who are looking to educate a number of their employees in the area of environmental noise as it applies to their particular organisation.
Each course is tailored to suit company requirements, with core subjects common to all.
Aimed at employees with little or no acoustical background as well as more experienced staff, typical contents include:
- What is noise?
- Basic Acoustics
- Acoustic Analysis
- Instrumentation
- Introduction to WA Noise Regulations
- Noise Characteristics
- Noise Emissions from Your Company
- Noise Control
- Outdoor Noise Propagation
- Weather Effects on Measurements
- Noise Prediction and Modeling
- Practical Sound Measurement
The range of topics, depth of information, course length, presentation format, deliverables, logistics and costs are all discussed with the customer prior to the course to enable each company to get the most appropriate training for its staff.
