Workplace Noise Displays

Noisy, uncomfortable working environments and workplace hearing damage are serious issues for employees and employers alike. A workplace noise display presents a clear and unmistakable warning as soon as the noise exceeds a pre-set limit. The simple warning light system can be easily understood by everybody that immediate action must be taken to reduce the noise. The noise threshold value can be adjusted to suit the surroundings, and the SoundEar range is specially designed to:

  • Alert - in situations where the noise level can become uncomfortable, for example more than 60dB in offices
  • Educate - adults as well as children, to keep the noise level down e.g. in schools and hospital wards
  • Warn - in situations where the the noise level can become detrimental, for example more than 85dB in workplaces

SoundEar® 2000 presents a hard-to-miss alarm signal (red ear and the word WARNING), as soon as the noise limit is exceeded. The noise limit can be set to one of 16 settings between 40 and 115 dB(A) by turning a knob on the back of the device.

NV2005 Strobe Kit for SoundEar®

At times it is difficult to locate the SoundEar® in a position which makes it visible and obvious to those affected by noise. Now with the optional Strobe Kit from NVMS you can add one or more highly visible flashing strobes throughout the work place up to fifty metres from the SoundEar®.

SoundEar® PRO

SoundEar® PRO is a noise measuring system consisting of up to 10 independent sound level meters that send wireless data to a computer, thereby enabling you to measure and monitor 10 different places within the company at one time. A complete record of this data is stored for up to 3 months, so it is possible to go back and look up the noise level in a particular place at a particular time. Furthermore, each individual measuring device has a wireless connection to a display that shows a warning as soon as the noise level is too high.
