NVMS is currently taking expressions of interest for an upcoming Strain Gauge & Catman Training Course in Australia, designed to provide comprehensive training on strain gauges, sensor technology, and test & measurement (Catman) software best practices.

This course is designed to equip engineers, technicians, and field service staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively implement and manage sensor-based test systems, ensuring accurate calibration of sensors and reliable data acquisition. Combining theory with practical application, the training focuses on improving data accuracy, sensor reliability, and measurement confidence across real-world applications.

Course Structure

The training will be delivered over a 2-day period,with a balance of theory and hands-on learning:

Day 1 – Strain Gauge Setup & Theory
Principles of operation, strain gauge fundamentals, sensor selection criteria,installation techniques, and data acquisition system integration.

Day 2 – Practical Strain Gauge Installation & Catman Software
Hands-on workshop covering strain gauge installation, wiring, connectivity to Catman, and practical use of HBK test and measurement software for datalogging and analysis.
